Wellness for all
Partnering with Walmart Health & Wellness, this printed brochure was created to drive engagement with the Walmart Wellness initiative as well as pushing customers to download the Walmart App.
Content from Fresh Tri was also included to demonstrate a larger commitment to partnering with other wellness brands.
Claiming heritage in new york city
The Walmart signage group was approached by the sports combat team to create a design for a large mural. The work was created to celebrate Walmart’s entry into the combat sports market. As such, we partnered with a small boxing gym in Manhattan to create something that connected past to present, with a strong focus on community.
A cheesy offering
The aim of this campaign was to introduce the average Walmart customer to cheese and wine pairings, using wines and cheeses stocked by the store.
Copy was meant to be simple, punchy, and humorous, finishing with a gentle push to a URL.
Reviving a forgotten space
The Walmart signage team was approached by Lawn & Garden to overhaul the live plants store signage. The space had been somewhat neglected for some time and as such, the mod images and copy was either outdated or insufficient.
Copy had to be simple, engaging, and informative, parterning with vibrant imagery. A fun project that revived the live
plant space.
An easy update
As time goes by, Walmart store signage, as with any store, requires updating.
This project was relatively simple; update a mod with fun images and direct copy meant to attract customers to the space.
Beauty & Essence
Walmart had been involved with Essence Festival for a few years when this project came around.
The goal was to encourage festival goers to take advantage of deals on beauty products as well as promoting the release of Snoop Dogg’s album Bible of Love.
These signs were printed and displayed around the festival, causing a surge in beauty product purchases.
Naming power
During my time at Walmart, I was a member of the Walmart Naming Council. The council was comprised of writers from various writing teams, whose purpose was to name all of Walmart’s new products and services.
One project I worked on was an energy initiative that Walmart was involved in. While my suggestion above was not the name selected, I’m proud of it and the work I did while on the naming council.
a fresh cup of coffee
This was my very first signage project with Walmart.
To commemorate the opening of a new gas station located in front of a Neighborhood Market, Walmart was offering a free refillable coffee cup to the first 200 customers of the gas station.
The copy was light, exciting, and emphasized Walmart’s popular prices.
All of the cups were claimed within 2 hours of opening.
